New Media vs Ornamentation

25 Jan 2010 - i miss one hour lecture, due to some stupid traffic jammed.Again.That's mean i have to digg out a lot of my own - on the first part of Suzy's lecture.

Today class is basically a discussion between Secessionist and Loos.

Loos: The evolution of culture is synonymous with the removal of ornament from objects of
daily use. It represents a crime against the national economy, and, as a result of it, human labour, money and material are ruined.Sample: The producer of ornament must work for twenty hours to obtain the same income of a modern laborer who works for eight hour..As ornament is no longer organically related to our culture, it is also no longer the expression of our culture.
